My Guitars

and I are one. The instruments all have a name, because guitars have a soul. Instruments from the 1930s and 1940s that are so old bring out the original sound of that time best. I love my instruments and live with them. Each one has its own history and most of them I know from the previous owners. Of course, such a collection is never complete, but everything is a question of price. I may and would like to introduce you to some of my babies here. They all have „Queen“ in their name and let it be said to you here…. you look with your eyes, you can ask. However, anyone who should be so disrespectful as to touch one of my instruments or even play on it, I will break both of their arms. This is a reminder and a promise.
National Trojan built in 1932 „Mississippi Queen“

This Queen is one of around 2300 built in 1930 and was owned by Bonnie Raitt. The guitar was modified with a humbucker and piezos.
Leewald Crossroads Style O Duolian „Devils Queen“

Jan Liewald is a famous Guitarbuilder from Czech, the land of origin of Resonatorguitars. With his golden Hands, he is making a Signituregitar for me, as good as National guitars, maybe even a little bit better. I will get this handcrafted Queen around September and she is crafted only for my arms and hands.
Regal TT58 Texas Tea Tricone „Voodoo Queen“

The Regal Tricone was refitted with National Cones, an active pickup and additional piezos. She is the chick of my collection, the youngest, but a powerful piece in terms of sound and on par with a National.
Stella built in 1938 „Dockery Queen“

Stella was played by most blues guitarists in the 1930’s because it was affordable and had a powerful sound for a parlor guitar. My Queen was restored from the ground up by a luthier and when I play it, the sound of a Charlie Patton or Robbie Johnson comes alive.
Art & Lutherie „Creole Queen“

The Art & Lutherie is a Canadian western guitar with a special sound, made by hand using special woods. I use them a lot and often when playing piedmont fingerstyle. It has a pickup.
Fender Strat year 72

It’s not a queen, but it’s a great instrument that I like to use again and again for Texas blues.
