Project Voodoo Blues Club

Musicians also need performance opportunities and a place where they can quietly drink their whiskey. In my case, that will include the Voodoo Blues Club. This project is currently being developed in loving planning work. This project places special emphasis on representing the charm of the juke joints of old Mississippi. The blues bar is being built in a 200-year-old farm in southern Burgenland near Güssing. The Voodoo Blues Club is deliberately based on the juke joints of old America. Little technology, no fancy facilities, but really good canned music and live music as often as possible. We play blues and jazz and have a big heart for cabaret.

The club is a Clubhouse

This project serves to preserve and promote blues and jazz music. An attempt is made to live and preserve the blues culture and music together with the members and guests. On top of that, there is no concession, only the necessary legal requirements. Keep it simple….no one wants to enrich themselves, they just want to enable and preserve the culture of the blues. Becoming a member and thus being able to use any opportunity to visit the clubhouse and its offers is easy. No large applications but an entry in the club book is sufficient.

Music live and canned

From the country and delta blues of our forefathers, to the piedmont blues of an Etta Baker or a Blind Blake, to the fantastic styles of John Lee Hooker and Stevie Ray Vaughn. In Diesel Lokal you will hear many blues genres, mostly from artists who are not so well known in Austria and Europe. There is also Tex Mex music a la Mavericks, country music and Cajun music at its finest.

Project Guitar National Triolian, Duolian 1930-34

In addition to the guitars I have owned so far, I still need a National Triolian and a National Duolian. But they must be vintage guitars from 1930-34 because I love the sound of vintage guitars from the early days of American blues. Cost about 4000 euros.
